Aberdeen Radiation Protection Services (ARPS)

Office 365: Establishing Control.

Established in 2001, ARPS provide comprehensive and cost effective radiation protection services to a wide range of industrial and non-industrial companies. Although ARPS’ primary focus is the provision of radiation protection services to the Oil and Gas sector, they also provide radiation services to: the waste management industry, the healthcare sector including hospitals, vets and dentists, teaching / research faculties and local authorities.

Since its formation, ARPS have grown rapidly and in doing so have established a very impressive client base however, that in itself has led to a number of challenges. The growing number of contracts won, the documentation that accompanied this and a remote working team forced ARPS to reassess the way with which they manage their business. Appetite recommended the creation of a central database within Office 365 Platform that allowed ARPS to consolidate their client information into a single, cloud based repository. With training, support and best practice guidance on user adoption the company are realising their investment in working in a digital space.

The intranet solution Appetite provided served not only to enhance ARPS’ internal operation, but more importantly the service given to its customers.

Remote Access

Due to the nature of the work carried out by ARPS it was imperative to the success of the project that the ability to access client data remotely was at the forefront of this development. The remote capabilities offered by Office 365 and in particular SharePoint Online provided the perfect platform with which to develop this client database.

Central Repository

A user friendly design provides the ARPS employees with the ability to easily search through a wealth of information with clear navigation features and refiners. We made search intuitive and simple so that they can find what they need in real time.

Planning For The Future

ARPS’ platform has been designed with growth in mind. As the firm grows, the intranet will grow with them and continue to support staff as they move towards achieving even greater business goals and targets.
